Do you think Columbus got a fluke of a win tonight?

No. I think they worked hard and capitalised on their own chances and Tampa’s mistakes. But I also think it’s unlikely Tampa makes as many mistakes next time. They only lost two games in a row twice this season, so, they learn from their mistakes. Not a fluke, but a difficult effort to replicate is what I would call the game.

Do you have a favorite player, or did you ever have one? I'm just curious cuz you don't seem to talk about one player more than any other.

I would say I don’t now. There are specific players I like watching because they do certain things particularly well, or play the game in a way that makes them stand out to me. But I don’t think I could name a single player my favourite anymore.

When I was a kid, my favourite player was Joe Sakic. In the mid/late 90s, he was the man. Colorado was a powerhouse team, so they got a lot of tv time, and he was the leader. Best wrist-shot in the game.

Which series are you looking forward to the most?

I don’t know if there is one I’m specifically looking forward to. I’ll be watching TOR/BOS closely, of course, but I’m a Leafs fan so of course I will be. SJS/VGK should be good as well. I think, beyond that, I’ll be watching to see if any of the real underdog teams can actually pull off an upset. I’m not betting on any of them, but I’d love to see at least one of the big teams go down in the first round, throw a wrench in the whole picture moving forward.

If your goalie and back up goalie both get hur…

If your goalie and back up goalie both get hurt in a game, can you put one of your skaters who’s a healthy scratch in? Or do emergency goalies have to be people who aren’t on the team?

I believe you could put a healthy scratch in, or a player who’s already playing, or anyone under contract to the team. It happened with Florida a couple years ago. Luongo and Montoya both went down, Derek MacKenzie went to dress as a goalie, and they had their goalie coach dress as well. Luongo ended up coming back, but either of them could have gone in. The rulebook says if both goalies go down, the team can play any goaltender who is both available and eligible, and in this case, I believe eligible means under contract to the team.
